I am running as a candidate for the local elections because I want to make a difference in my local community. I have a passion for education and have worked in the sector for over ten years.
Through meeting both students and their families, I have become aware of the problems facing individuals and families in the Castlebar electoral area.
Further to this, I am aware of the issues facing local businesses, both large and small, and if elected I aim to help address all issues people encounter in dealing with the local authority and to influence policy making for the Castlebar Electoral Area.
I feel my experience in dealing with a wide range of issues at both local and national level makes me the ideal candidate for the demanding position of county councillor.
If elected I will ensure the concerns of all constituents, regardless of race, gender or age are voiced. I hope to meet as many people and community groups as possible during the campaign process and listen to the issues that people face each day.
Castlebar is at the heart of Mayo. It’s true essences is the local community and I want ensure this area and community thrive and prosper.
I aim to ensure our young people have opportunities locally to enjoy an excellent quality of life, though local amenities, opportunities for high quality education and sustainable employment opportunities.
